The Department of Workforce Development, Equal Rights Division is recruiting for a full time Financial Specialist 2. This position is located in downtown Madison at the GEF 1 building.
Salary:  Starting pay is $15.106 per hour, plus benefits. A six-month probationary period is required.

Job Duties: This position processes the collection of payments and disbursement of wages on labor standard complaints, maintains financial records for the child labor work permit and labor standards information systems, analyzes and codes labor standards wage complaints, handles collection and disbursement of wages, prepares prosecution of monetary claims for litigation, issues special minimum wage licenses, and issues private employment agency registrations and licenses.
Special Notes: The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection for this position.
Knowledge of: WISMART; office practices and procedures.
Internet skills. Effective communication skills.
Ability to: quickly and accurately analyze and code invoices; establish and maintain effective working relationships; effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access; work independently; handle multiple tasks at once; ability to use a calculator.
