Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Serve as an Administrative Law Judge for the Equal Rights Division of the Department of Workforce Development. Adjudicate and mediate cases arising under the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the Wisconsin Open Housing Law, the Wisconsin Public Accommodations Lay, the Wisconsin Family and Medical Leave Act, and other statutes enforced by the Equal Rights Division.

Location of Openings: Madison - Milwaukee Downtown
Duration: Each position is limited to 1043 hours
Usual Hours per Week: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week Minimum
Pay: Based on qualifications - $23.21 Per Hour to $40.00 Per Hour

Experience/Qualifications and Other Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
- Must have knowledge of state and federal statutes and regulations, especially those relating to civil rights and other equal opportunity laws; administrative law, the rules of evidence and statutes relating to discovery.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to analyze complex legal and factual situations; to prioritize tasks and handle a heavy workload; to relate to people of diverse backgrounds; to do word processing; to use a personal computer in an office environment; to travel including some overnight trips.
- Must be a Wisconsin resident.
- Background check required.
